Aim: In this fast-moving world, people tend to disregard their health and sometimes even health problems they might be unaware of. Regular health check-ups can help find potential health issues before they become a problem as it is rightly said - โPrevention is better than cure. The camp covered all basic checks ups including Anthropometry, Blood Pressure, Blood Sugar Level, Dental and General examinations.
Impact: People can get aware if they have any health issues and hence can take proper treatment for the same. 244 people participated in the health checkup camp.
Aim: Quitting any kind of addiction is very difficult but can be treated if provided with proper treatment and motivation. Through this event, we aim to educate people on different types of addictions(alcohol, drugs, social media, etc.) and identify if they are going through one of them.
Impact: Participants can get to learn how to tackle any kind of addiction they might be facing.
Speaker for the session: Mr. Shiv Khera inspires and encourages individuals to realize their true potential. Over 8 million copies of his books have been sold globally including his international bestseller โYou Can Winโ in 21 languages.
Aim: Online classes due to the pandemic have led to isolation and unhealthy attachment to social media among many. This has led to a reduced attention span among students. In the minds of the youth who are the future changemakers, we aim to reinforce the importance of positive and diverse relationships with empathy, reflection, perspective, an open mind, and respect through inculcating a reading habit among the youth.
Impact: Participants can learn the importance and benefits of regular reading.
Aim: "A good discussion increases the dimensions of everyone who takes part." Notably, in the country we live in, the social and political concerns impact the lives of the majority in society. It is inescapably necessary and needful to evaluate the problems and start acknowledging them.
Impact: To start the discussion on social problems, people get to know various views on the same topic.
