The world has a plastic pollution problem and it’s snowballing—but so is public awareness and action. Abhyuday organized a panel discussion to deliberate over the journey of plastic ban; how it was formulated, why it was deemed necessarily and what the future holds for the use of plastic. This discussion was operated by our moderator Manisha Singhal and the panelists Dr Sangita Hasnale, Mr Sarthak Gaurav , Mr Anil Agarwal and Mr Pradeep Tripathi.

Abhyuday in collaboration with Ashray Foundation initiated a lecture series to help IITB students cope with stress and mentally related issues. The first lecture was conducted by Dr. Niranjan Pendharkar, accompanied by a pentamime show, titled Dining with the Monkey. The second session of the series by a motivational and TEDx speaker, Mr. Anand Munshi, who guided and mentored the students towards the path of success through motivation, engagement, empowerement and transformation.

"20 minutes of your time and 250 cc of your blood may make the difference between life and death."
Abhyuday, IIT Bombay in collaboration with Sthaniya Lokadhikar Samiti and Mohan Foundation organized a blood and organ donation camp. The blood collected during the camp has the potential of saving 1050 lives.

This World Environment Day, Abhyuday IIT Bombay spread awareness by making paper bags with the help of 40+ volunteers who joined us and 200+ children from 7 NGOs. We made 350+ paper bags which we distributed among 15 vendors and motivated them to use these bags rather than plastic bags. It is high time for us to re-think about what we buy, what we use and how it has an impact on us and our environment.

October being breast cancer awareness month, “Breast Cancer Awareness’’ talk was conducted, to initiate and drive research towards diagnosis, prevention, cure and treatment with constant information because ‘the more you know, the less you fear’ The talk was be delivered by Dr.Rucha Kaushik, consultant breast cancer surgeon from P. D. Hinduja hospital with more than 6 years of research experience in this field. The talk saw a crowd of over 100 people consisting of IITB students, residents, PHO, mess, staff and construction site workers.

To extend our career counseling campaign to the entire nation, Professor Kameshwari along with her student Raj the ‘Abhyuday Helpline App’, a nationwide career counselling initiative.The App launch had three eminent speakers, Dr.Pradnya Sarvade, ADGP Maharashtra, Dr. Reeta Shah, Educationalist and a Growth Coach and Mr.Kedar Sohoni, director of cross-tab and founder of Green Communities Foundation. Many NGOs and their representatives such as Smile Foundation, Save The Children,CRY,Humara Bachpan, Swaradhar and Vidya had shown their participation in App Launch.

It is about making a difference.” So, to make a difference in the lives of children, Abhyuday donated 100+ books to the Ajivam NGO which has built a public library which was inaugurated on 2nd October, 2017 in Kansahari village near Varanasi (UP) for the children who are the future of India.

‘The finest gesture one can make is to save life by donating Blood’. We had organised a blood donation camp, inside the campus for the student, staff and labour community which saw a huge turnout of 542 people, out of which 442 were eligible to donate blood.The blood we collected during the camp has a potential to save up to 1326 lives. At the blood donation camp, we also had a blood stem cell donation registry, where we got over 110 registrations for blood stem cell donation.
